The DFID-ESRC Growth Research Programme and the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana are delighted to announce that the Governor of the Central Bank of Ghana was the keynote speaker at a special DEGRP finance debate on Wednesday 11th September 2013 at the University of Ghana ISSER Conference Centre, Legon, Accra.

The debate explored the role of financial sector regulation and competition and development banks in helping to ensure both stability and efficiency for inclusive growth and structural transformation in African countries. The event also discussed the current challenges and lessons facing Ghana’s financial sector.
