The rural economy in Zimbabwe

November 23, 2014

Land reform has radically transformed the rural economy in Zimbabwe. DEGRP-funded Researchers from the Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies at South Africa’s University of the Western Cape have just launched a new series of films that explore the dynamic between land reform and economic activity in the country, focusing on three commodities: tobaccobeef and horticulture. They have also created a video overview of the series.

The films emerge from on-going work under the Space, Markets and Employment in Agricultural Development(SMEAD) project.
